We’re building a healthier screen time alternative for families. These 7 content standards guide what we curate and commission on our platform. They reflect our commitment to child development, creative integrity, and human-first storytelling.
1. Paced for Young Minds
- Content is calm, focused, and developmentally appropriate for ages 2-5
- Avoids rapid cuts, flashing lights, or overly busy visuals
- Allows time for comprehension, repetition, and anticipation
- Matches the cognitive rhythm of toddlers, not adults
- Age-appropriate in theme, length, and language
2. Emotionally Safe
- Supports positive social-emotional development
- Gentle tone, kind characters, non-threatening scenarios
- Promotes empathy, cooperation, and problem-solving
- Avoids fear-based humor, sarcasm, or overstimulation
3. Curiosity-Driven, Not Addictive
- Encourages real-world curiosity and imagination
- No autoplay rabbit holes or engagement-maximizing tricks
- Built-in natural endings to encourage breaks
4. Intentional Use of Sound and Visuals
- Thoughtful use of color, sound, and motion
- Balanced audio mix - avoids jarring music or effects
- Intentionally created visuals that are given the space to breathe
- Aligns with sensory regulation goals for young kids
- Prioritizes intention and focus over overstimulation
5. Human-Made
- Content is created by real people with care and intention
- Prioritizes craft and storytelling over algorithmic optimization
- Values the human touch in art, music, and narration
6. Creator-Led
- Content is concepted or narrated by real creators with intentionality
- New tools may enhance production, but the heart of the content should remain human-driven and creatively led
- We prioritize narrative care, creative integrity, and transparency
- Uplifts the voices and stories behind the work
7. Parent-Friendly and Trustworthy
- Supports co-viewing, not passive parking
- Offers context for grown-ups: what this teaches and why
- Allows offline play ideas, gentle transitions, and screen boundaries
- Builds trust with families, not just views
