These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the Meevee website, app, and related services ("Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who May Use Meevee
You must be:
- At least 18 years old to create an account
- A parent or legal guardian if children will use the Service
Children may only use Meevee under supervision and via profiles created by adults.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Ensuring the information you provide is accurate
We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or are misused.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
- Some features require a paid subscription.
- Fees, billing cycles, and renewal terms are displayed at checkout.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time through your account or app store platform.
- Refunds follow local consumer protection law.
4. Use of the Services
You agree that you will not:
- Disrupt or interfere with the Service
- Copy, modify, or distribute Meevee content without permission
- Use Meevee for commercial purposes unless authorised
- Attempt to reverse engineer or misuse the platform
All content is protected by copyright and related rights.
5. Content and Licensing
Meevee includes content licensed from creators and studios. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to access this content for your household. You may not reproduce, share, or publicly display content without permission.
6. User-Submitted Content
The Services may allow parents or legal guardians to upload images, text, or other materials ("User-Submitted Content") for personal use within their household, including for personalised puzzles or colouring activities.
By uploading User-Submitted Content, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the content or have all necessary rights, licences, and permissions to upload and use it
- The content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights of any third party
- The content complies with applicable laws and these Terms
Meevee does not claim ownership of User-Submitted Content.
User-Submitted Content may be processed automatically to enable personalised features. Meevee does not use this content to train public or third-party AI models.
You retain all rights to your content.
7. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, share, or make available any User-Submitted Content that:
- You do not own or have permission to use
- Contains nudity, sexual content, or sexualised imagery involving minors
- Is violent, abusive, hateful, or threatening
- Is discriminatory or promotes harm or illegal activity
- Violates the rights, dignity, or safety of a child
- Is otherwise inappropriate for young children
Meevee reserves the right, but has no obligation, to review, remove, restrict, or disable access to any User-Submitted Content at its sole discretion.
8. Content Moderation and Enforcement
Meevee may monitor, review, or moderate User-Submitted Content to ensure compliance with these Terms and our Content Standards.
We may, without notice:
- Remove or block content we believe violates these Terms
- Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously breach these rules
- Report unlawful content to relevant authorities where legally required
Meevee is not responsible for User-Submitted Content and does not endorse any content uploaded by users.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meevee B.V., its directors, employees, partners, and licensors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- User-Submitted Content you upload
- Your breach of these Terms
- Any claim that your content infringes the rights of a third party
10. Safety & Wellbeing Features
Meevee provides timers, calm transitions, language options, and parent settings. These features are designed to support families, but do not replace parental supervision.
11. Availability and Changes
We may update, suspend, or modify features from time to time. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of major changes or interruptions.
12. Termination
You may stop using Meevee at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- breach of these Terms
- fraudulent or abusive activity
- safety or legal concerns
Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms end.
13. Disclaimers
Meevee is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim:
- warranties of uninterrupted service
- liability for external events or content provider issues
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Meevee is not liable for:
- indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- losses arising from misuse of the Service
- actions of third-party providers
Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid in the previous 12 months.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in Amsterdam, unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
16. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you. Continued use of the Service means you accept the new Terms.
